Description
Slightly Used Inogen One G4 Replacement Columns (Sieve Beds)
In order to create medical grade oxygen, your slightly used Inogen One G4 relies on the sieve beds located in the replacement columns. You will have to regularly change your replacement columns to keep your slightly used G4 in working order.
It’s recommended that you change your replacement columns every 18 months to 2 years, however, that is all dependent on the climate you live in, how often you use your concentrator, and if you store your concentrator properly.
What is Included With the Replacement Columns:
- 1x Replacement Columns (2 sieve beds in each column)
Simple and Easy to Replace
Replacing your slightly used Inogen One G4 sieve beds is extremely simple. You don’t need any additional tools and it should only take you a couple of minutes. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to replace your sieve beds:
Step 1: Turn your slightly used Inogen One G4 off, disconnect it from any power supply, and remove the battery
Step 2: Flip your slightly used Inogen One G4 upside down so you can see the bottom of the machine
Step 3: On the bottom of your machine, you will see a latch with an arrow. Hold the latch over and use the attached handle to take out your sieve beds.
Step 4: Your new sieve bed columns will have 4 rubber protectors on them. Simply take them off and throw them away because you won’t need them and the sieve beds won’t fit in the concentrator with them on.
Step 5: Match the nodules on the sieve beds with the indentations on the unit. Push the new sieve beds down until you hear a click.
Step 6: Once your new sieve beds are installed, plug your slightly used Inogen One G4 into the AC power supply. You will see the screen turn on, but DO NOT turn your concentrator on at this point.
Step 7: Once your screen turns back off, hold the “+” and “-” buttons down for 5 seconds. After the 5 seconds has passed, your screen will turn on and say “Mode Select: Sieve Reset”. Then press the alarm button (it’s the one with the bell on it).
Step 8: As soon as your screen says “Sieve Reset Success” you can put the battery back on and use your concentrator as normal.

The Importance of the Slightly Used Inogen One G4 Replacement Column Sieve Beds
The fact of the matter is, without functioning replacement column sieve beds your slightly used Inogen One G4 is a glorified paper weight. The sieve beds are located in the replacement columns and they are responsible for turning normal, ambient air into medical grade oxygen.
As you use your slightly used Inogen One G4, your sieve beds are constantly working to filter out impurities to provide you with the medical grade oxygen you need. But, the more you use your concentrator, the more wear and tear you put on your sieve beds. So, rather than requiring you to send your concentrator in for warranty repair, Inogen conveniently made the sieve beds a replaceable accessory!
Now, depending on how often you use your concentrator and your climate your sieve beds may last up to two years, or they may last about a year. It really all depends on your personal situation. To help you prevent any down time where you won’t be able to use your concentrator, your slightly used Inogen One G4 will notify you BEFORE you actually need sieve beds so you still have time to order your replacement columns.
